As a wedding and events photographer for the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of celebrating at many reception venues. And at times have been very lucky to have been feed! There is an on going debate as to who is responsible for providing food and drinks for the vendors. Whether it is the couple or venues responsibility. Either way after spending a whole day running around on ones feet and barely having time to stop. It is nice to get to the reception and finally have a drink, toilet break and food!


So if you care about serving tasty food, accompanied with good service, I have compiled (in my opinion) the best wedding venues across Sydney for the best food and service for both your guests and the ones that look after the vendors.

Novella on the Park


Since its grand opening in 2021, Novella on the Park has evolved significantly and is now competing with top venues for both food and service. Recently, the meals have gone from standard to EXCEPTIONAL—beautifully presented and packed with flavour, leaving you completely satisfied. I can't stress how impressed I have been these last couple of years.

Dolton House Western Sydney, Club Marconi


Dolton House has long set the standard when it comes to food and service—you always know what to expect. While even the best can occasionally fall short, that hasn’t been my experience at Dolton House in Western Sydney. Every event I’ve attended there has delivered consistently excellent food. No matter the dish, it’s always been well-prepared, flavorful, and enjoyable.

Zest Waterfront Venues


I love photographing at any of the Zest venues. Not only do they offer some of the best views in Sydney, but the food and service always feel fresh, modern, and genuinely delicious.


You can really tell they’re not afraid to try new flavours—and they execute them well. I’d highly recommend them if you’re planning a smaller wedding.

Conca D'oro Lounge


I have to admit, I do have a soft spot for Conca D’Oro Lounge—they’re one of the original powerhouses of reception venues and have truly set the standard in the hospitality industry.


The quality of their food and service has never let me down with taste, service and quality.

Whether I’m there as a guest or a photographer, they consistently impress. They’ve set the bar high by introducing new ideas in both flavour and presentation, continually showing how food can be elevated and experienced.
